    Couple Sleeping Together Have Sexsomnia

According to a New York Times article today, one in twelve people have "sexsomnia" - or sex while they're sleeping. Apparently, it's a problem, though we think it sounds kind of fun.

This woman has a refreshing lack of shame: Can't find a parking spot? Just create one, complete with sign, and take it with you everywhere you go.

A new teen comedy is being released about a super-hot girl who doesn't have sex. In related news, America's relationship with sexuality just got a little weirder and American Pie has begun to look progressive.

John Stewart jumps in with some commentary on Helen Thomas' retirement, pointing out that she, of all people, should remember why the Jews left Germany, since when it happened, she was in her twenties.

And finally, this is the first time in my life I've ever thought about campaigning for a Republican. But seriously folks, let's get out there and elect this birther, tea-party nut-queen. And damage the GOP's credibility for good.

I think Easy A could be kind of a sweet movie, actually. Anyone who thinks that American Pie was at all realistic or progressive probably isn't a woman and definitely didn't grow up in the midwest.

That is, the fact she dons an outfit with an A-stitched in it says to me that in the movie she is embracing the label in sort of a rebellious fuck-you to the man. Which could be heartening, given that teenage girls who sleep around often do it more because they are insecure than because they want to, and then are embarassed to be called sluts by all the other kids at school, so I see this movie as being a different sort of story. Maybe on some level she's proud of what she's doing.

The statistic you cite lacks an important qualifier.

From the first paragraph of the NYT article (emphasis added):

"Now a study finds that 1 in 12 PATIENTS WITH SLEEP DISORDERS reported having had sex while they were asleep."

Good call, I missed that. Thought it sounded a little high!

Also, the article goes on to state that masturbation is included in the statistic. So basically, less than 10% of people from Toronto with sleep disorders have been known to touch themselves during the night.
