The consistently hilarious comedy troupe Improv Everywhere reenacted the opening scene of Star Wars: A New Hope in a New York City subway car. Is it just us, or are the bemused spectators often the best part of these clips?

Also of intergalactic interest, Buzzfeed compiled a list of twenty five awful Star Trek tattoos. We're only left only to wonder what would constitute a non-awful Star Trek tattoo.

Speaking of oddly-specific body art, we found a list of "Tech Nerd" tattoos. Although, we wouldn't call anyone with a tattoo on their scalp or knuckle a nerd, at least not to their face. (Even if the tattoo does say "Google It.")

Maternal meddling has gone online. Now, in addition to posting doting comments to your Facebook wall, your mother can try to get you a date, with a website called Fab Over Fifty for women looking for mates for their single children. 

And finally, in slightly weirder news, two alleged chupacabras - the goat-sucking terrors of legend were found and killed in Texas. Crazy immigration laws, guns in church, monsters - when was the last time you read something about the Southwest that made you want to move there?
