Moms host breastfeeding protest at Arizona McDonald's
By Brian FairbanksAugust 24th, 2010, 8:53 amComments (6)Mothers are permitted to breastfeed in public in the state of Arizona, but try telling that to the manager of a Glendale McDonald's.
Actually, on Saturday, a group of concerned mothers from the surrounding area did just that: they staged a breastfeeding "nurse-in" at the very same McDonald's.
McDonald's... says it doesn't need to change its policies because "it has never been our policy to ask nursing mothers to leave our restaurant. This was a mistake. All employees are required to comply with local, state and federal laws."
In fact, the group of nursing moms were not asked to leave the eatery at any point during the protest and word from management is that it won't happen again. [The Consumerist]
