The latest inductee into the 911 Hall of Shame is twenty-one-year-old Robert Michelson of Farmington, Connecticut, who called 911 Thursday night, asking how much trouble he could get in for growing a single marijuana plant. The dispatcher informed him that he could be arrested for possession, and Michelson, apparently satisfied, said "thanks for the info" and hung up.

The dispatcher traced the call to Michelson's home, where Farmington narcotics officers found several marijuana plants growing. The officers seized a small amount of pot along with drug paraphernalia, and proceeded to arrest the inquisitive young man. Michelson was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal cultivation of marijuana, possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia in a drug factory. He was released on $5,000 non-surety bond and will appear in court on February 8.

Before exiting the police station, the clever and classy Michelson reportedly gave the dispatchers two middle fingers, "presumably for doing such a good job," according to police. Let's hope that if Michelson is ever in a dire predicament, he doesn't call 411 looking for help.
