My little geek brain just melted. How did this happen? Well, it’s easy:
- Take one dash of Star Wars
- Add in as much hardware as you can.
- Make it totally frakkin’ awesome.
What I’m talking about, of course, is the R2-D2 projector, from StarWars.com. Though it doesn’t come cheap, the projector does come packed to the gills with amazing features. First and foremost, it looks, acts, and sound just like R2, from the squeaks and beeps, to the way he moves. That’s right, moves, as this projector is also a remote control R2 toy.
You can zoom R2 around the room with your remote, adjusting his legs so that your HD projection hits the wall, ceiling, or… Well, those are your options, but I don’t see why you would want to project on the floor.
The l’il robot is also a CD/DVD player with built in surround sound; a card reader for displaying digital photos and video; and has an input easily hookable to any gaming system or other device.
Oh, and the remote? It’s the Millennium Falcon.
