Design Glut is a studio started in 2007 by Pratt graduates Kegan Fisher and Liz Kinnmark. They specialize in whimsical, almost pun-like objects that are funny in form, but worthwhile in function. Check out a couple below:
The Hookmaker combines a tile, with a teacup, with a hook. I may not hang scissors from there, as pictured, but what a great, multi-purpose item. [$30]
I’ve previously stated my hatred of hard boiled eggs, but these Egg Pants are darn cute. Each set comes with two Pants, and are made of soft dipped PVC. [$20]
Covered in coated brass, I’m not sure any but the most hardcore smokers would be interested in this Smoking Gun cigarette holder. That being said, I’m not a smoker, so I dunknow. [$140]
The coolest thing about this Parallelogram Table is that it ships flat… Meaning you can fold it up if you like, or anchor the legs with included bolts. [$500]
