I realize posting a rebuttal a week and a half later isn’t much of a rebuttal at all, but it’s not like I’ve been thinking about how to prove Wendy wrong about Kettle Chips for twelve days, it just snuck up on me: Tyrell’s Hand Fried Potato Chips are the best chips of all time.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I love me some Kettle Chips; but Tyrell’s calls the Kettle Chips black, and then kicks their asses.
Yes, they have sea salt and pepper, just like Kettle. But they also have two flavors that take Tyrell's from great to amazing:
- Beef & Horseradish
- Ludlow Sausage with Wholegrain Mustard
Which, think about for a second, before your gag reflex kicks in: all of these things go awesomely with potatoes. There’s no reason the chips shouldn’t be delicious as well, and they are.
Tyrell’s are made in the UK, then shipped over her, and certain flavors are made only at certain times of the year, so if you see one (like Summer Barbecue, which is only on sale until September), snatch ‘em up.
You can grab a pack of bags from Amazon for anywhere from $29-$38; or, they’re on sale in NYC at Balducci’s and Union Markets.
