You know how the cool kids are always like, "Hey, I got that album months ago, and I'm totally cool." Well, I'm going to clue you in on an album that was just released today that won't be popular for another two months. Here's three reasons you'll love Repo! The Genetic Opera:
1. Paris Hilton + Sarah Brightman + Slipknot: Just for the crazy factor of owning an album which features Paris Hilton (singing not badly, I might add) with Sarah Brightman, while Slipknot plays music. Not only that, but you have Buffy the Vampire Slayer's dreamy Giles (Anthony Stweart Head), and many more.
2. It's a Rock Opera about Organs: Nope, not piano organs. The idea is that in the future, organs are for sale... But if you can't pay, the Repo Man comes to getcha. 42nd Street, this is not.
3. My Brother Worked on It: Yup, my brother did some of the music for the movie. Not what's on this album, just the incidental music throughout the film. But pick up the album, and maybe Lionsgate, who is distributing the film, and notorious for dumping their weirder product, will have more faith in the film when it comes out in two months. And then my brother will be able to move out of his cardboard box.
So there you go! Three reasons you'll love the Repo soundtrack. If you pick it up, let me know what you think...
