Doesn't that lady look relaxed? That's because she's drinking stress relief milk, from Japan. Why is it stress relief milk? Well, I'll tell you why, and also, why I think it's a hoax:
The milk is taken from cows at dawn, once a week, and bottled within six hours of being milked. Subsequently, the milk contains three to four times as much melatonin as usual milk, which they claim relieves stress. Except, it doesn't, exactly.
Melatonin is the hormone in mammals, including humans, that regulates sleep, by telling your body when it's dark out (that's when you're supposed to go to sleep, FYI). Melatonin is helpful for business travelers or insomniacs (read: me, to the last one, which is why I know this), who can take small amounts in pill form to tell their bodies, "Hey, now is the time you can go to sleep."
Having, as I mentioned, taken melatonin before, I can guarantee this milk won't relieve stress: it'll knock you out and make you feel groggy. Which, I guess, will relieve some stress, but mostly just put you to sleep.
Anyway, it's $43 a bottle, so you're not getting any of that.
