I love everything about pencils: the sound of graphite on paper, the feel of polished wood, the way their smell reminds me of Mrs. Viale, my first grade teacher. So when I came across the designs at Pen Pencil Stencil, I was understandably excited. That lead-legged mariner above is the PPS Pencil Pirate, and there are many more arty goodies after the jump:

Also on the PPS site is a photo of what I can only assume is designer Mark Giglio's work space, and while anyone with an office this sweet makes me ragingly jealous, I also kind of want to be their new best friend:
