Do we swear to eventually quit going on about Bionic Woman? Eh, perhaps. We were a little iffy on the Gilmore-ish aspects of episode two, and the show didn't exactly hold on to its boffo premiere numbers, so maybe it's out of our hands anyway.
But for those who did tune in: Anyone else totally surprised to see former Grey's Anatomy star and accidental GLAAD spokesman Isaiah Washington turn up as Antonio Pope, Jamie's new supervisor? We'd heard he'd been added to the cast; it's him being practically snuck on the show that's a little surprising. There was hardly a mention of him in the commercials or on the website. He's not even listed on the IMDB page (though his stunt man is).
Now, normally, smuggling a hateful semi-star back on to primetime would bug us. But in this case, we'll give it a pass. Why? Because with all this hush-hush, we figure the term for it ain’t "comeback" or "second chance": It's "redshirt." Our guess is "Antonio Pope" is dead well before February sweeps.
Vindication? Who knows? We're just hoping for a bionicized T.R. Knight cameo.
