Now that we've calmed down a bit we can share this update on the state of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act proposed by Congressman Barney Frank. While previously Frank had suggested excluding transgender people from the proposed bill that would protect lesbians and gays from being fired or not promoted because of sexual orientation Frank has now followed out lesbian Rep. Tammy Baldwin's lead and decided to reinstate the "T" and extend protection to transgender employees as well. This is good news. Now we won't be forced to arm our hamsters and storm Washington, DC.
