Adnan Tries Unsucessfully to Visit Brit in the Looney Bin

Aw. It could have been so romantic: Britney's on-again, off-again paparazzo boyfriend Adnan Ghalib sweeping into the mental instutution to free her from the shackles of fame, fortune and insantity; to whisk her away to a land of puppies and pick-up trucks and McDonalds; never to face the media again. But it didn't go down exactly like that. 

Poor guy just tried to visit his lady friend in the looney bin and got turned away. 

Sources differ on how long he was actually in the hospital - some say that he was turned away immediately; others that he was inside for a few minutes - but apparently, regardless of how long he was inside, when he emerged he looked, according to one witness, he looked "very, very sad... "he didn't talk to anyone and tried to avoid having his picture taken. He was very upset."

Lynne Spears - who, with Britney's father, has custody over Britney in the form of a conservatorship - is reported to have been the one who put the boots to Adnan.
