We Were Vaguely Right About the Academy Awards

Posted by Bryan Christian

Sure, we we didn't go category by category or anything in our predictions, but still: in a general sense, we did pretty good, right? Throw in a Marion Cotillard and we'd almost be sorry we didn't bet in any office pools. Complete list of winners after the jump.

Hey, speaking of Ms. Cotillard: for our money, it's pretty much dead even between her, Jennifer Garner, and Renee Zellweger as to who looked the best last night -- which surprises us because we tend to find Zellweger a bit blah. (And yeah, all the ladies dressing for two looked great -- but none of them really floored us.) What did you guys think?

Katherine Heigl is the one that made me say "Holy crap"  and get whacked up side my head by my girlfriend. She looked stellar in that red dress.

yeah, _she_ looked great -- i just wish she had looked great as herself and _not_ like someone else (particularly someone whose look had also just been cribbed so publicly by La Lohan).

Renee Zellweger?  Really?  But she borrowed my fifth grade haircut and then remembered how bad we both looked in it by touching it repeatedly, apparently in hopes of causing some kind of Bewitched effect and teleporting into oblivion.
