Well, this is just terrible. A barn owned by a gay Ohio man was set on fire in what is believed to be a hate crime against him, and the ensuing blaze left eight of his horses dead, including one week-old foal. "The barn I can rebuild, but the bond I had with those horses can't be replaced," said Brent Whitehouse, who owned the barn and discovered it in flames on Sunday night. "Whoever did this had to walk right by all those horses, including the baby, and didn't care that they were killing a gentle, loving animal."
Before being set on fire the barn had also been tagged with graffiti reading "Fags are Freaks" and "Burn in Hell." The Ohio FAIR Plan Underwriting Association is currently offering a $5,000 reward for information on the origins of the fire.

seriously hope they catch whoever did this. this is horrible.
The identity of the perps? I'll bet "White Male Christian Fundamentalists" for win, place and show.
I cried for weeks when my 14 year old dog died. I cannot imagine losing eight animals you love at once.
They're lucky they didn't pull this in Montana or Wyoming or anywhere in real horse country; gays or no gays, they'd be in REAL serious trouble.
Sometimes that's what it takes, though.
I suspect that there will be a number of people more upset by the deaths of the horses (which is a terrible crime, of course) than by the terroristic homophobia of the act.
You're absolutely right prof, kinda what I was getting at.
