Because channeling Keith Richards for his signature Jack Sparrow character wasn't enough to satisfy his inner punk, Johnny Depp popped by London's 100 Club over the weekend and played guitar with Alice Cooper's backing band. Depp shredded along with the shock-rocker to several iconic anthems including "I'm Eighteen" and "School's Out." While he's no stranger to musical side projects — Depp did play lead guitar on an all-star, Haiti charity recording of "I Put a Spell on You" — the real shock is that he's pretty damn good. Whether this is just a manifestation of actual talent or a mid-life crisis (or possibly both) it's fun to speculate who Depp might collaborate with next. Just as long as he spares us a solo album, that is.

I doubt his "inner punk" was satisfied playing backup guitar to Alice Cooper either. Maybe his inner washed out glamrock singer turned lame ass radio DJ was, though.
