Beavis and Butthead.

"In the years since Mike [Judge] quit doing Beavis and Butt-Head, he realized that there was a lot to make fun of," understated John Altschuler, who'll be the upcoming Beavis and Butt-Head reboot's head writer. But exactly what crap will the most popular couch potatoes of the '90s be mocking when they return?

According to MTV President Van Toffler, Beavis and Butt-Head will "watch Jersey Shore, UFC matches, and user-generated videos from YouTube, in addition to music videos." While that's kind of disappointing news for anyone who hoped the show's return would provide a format for cool music videos (there'll probably be more Lady Gaga-type acts and fewer Radiohead-y bands this time around), it's certainly promising for fans of shows like The Soup and Tosh.0, which pretty much already do those things. Oh, and the internet — the internet is basically like a giant, worldwide Beavis and Butt-Head, so it'll be interesting to see how the boys fare in this age of unrestrained snark.

It'll be interesting to see if their style of humor plays out well in this decade.

The problem with the unrestrained snark is that very little of it is funny snark.
