Ricky Gervais isn't done dissecting Christianity, thank (the non-existent) God. While he previously brought merry good cheer with his "Why I'm An Atheist" essay, published in The Wall Street Journal last Christmas, he's decided to not let Easter go by without another religious-themed gem, this time found on his website.
Gervais makes his usual case, not against Christianity but Christians:
"It's not that I don't believe that the teachings of Jesus wouldn't make this a better world if they were followed. It's just that they are rarely followed."
So before slipping into sweet glucose dreams from your Easter egg hunt, why not gather the family round and see if you stack up against Gervais in his Ten Commandments test? He makes a fairly persuasive case as to why he's a great model for Christianity, despite being an atheist. But in any case, text is not the real highlight of the piece. The real highlight of this piece is Gervais's "Sexy Jesus" picture, posted above.

My favorite part about the 10 Commandments is the part about not coveting your neighbor's wife. What this basically means is that women are not people, otherwise your neighbor's wife is your neighbor.
Me, I like the part about not coveting your neighbor's ass.
I would follow Jesus' teachings on the condition that I'm granted at least one of his super powers, particularly turning water to wine.
meh. Bashing religion is for the uninspired.
Boohoohoo.
Too true, man. People mock and God laughs.
Which one of your imaginary friends is laughing?
That picture…..urrrrrgh….
Gervais is a funny guy, but his christianity rants are unoriginal and rote.
Dear Ricky,
You're an atheist. Be an atheist and shut the fuck up.
Sincerely,
Sdeetee, (an admittely bad example of a) Christian
Atheists will shut the fuck up when the religious shut the fuck up.
How is atheism and shutting up related? And that's about the most hypocritical thing i've heard a Christian say considering your whole agenda is to spread like wild fire by speaking out as much as possible.
Who's Ricky Gervais?
Apparently an unoriginal attention whore.
That's better than being an anonymous troll.
As far as I'm concerned, you can't bash Christianity enough
