US Roman Catholic Church approves iPhone app to aid Catholics in feeling even guiltier

Do you have a hard time keeping track of your sins? I know I do. Thankfully the Roman Catholic Church has officially endorsed this new iPhone app, called Confessions, to aid you in categorizing and listing your sins until your next confessional. The app is organized by sins within each of The Ten Commandments, but also  allows for custom sin entry in instances in which you are more creative than the makers of this application. It also appears that the app, which can be downloaded for you iPhone or iPad, includes suggestions for penance for your particular sins.

While this may assist practicing Catholics in keeping track of their various transgressions, lest one fall through the cracks, I've known quite a few Catholics and I'm not sure it's helpful to give them a digital means to make themselves feel even guiltier.
