This was a tough call between the first and second place winners, but I had to go with Sarah’s picture for its great balancing act; it gets its point across without overplaying its hand, and what could have looked vulgar is instead almost innocently sexy. What I also love is its sweetness – the look of care on her face and the blessed-out contentment on his are both fantastic.

"Orange ya glad I didn’t say banana"
by Ramon A.
I love this picture because of its great sense of harmony. Obviously the color of the oranges, the bathwater, and even the model’s eyes play a big part of that, but even more I like how the shape of the orange slices reflects the shape of the model’s breast. I’m even willing to overlook the hokey title.
One of the few entries not to use any nudity at all, this picture is up here simply because it contains one of the best “come hither” stares I’ve seen in a long time.
There are two things I love about this picture: one, the model is really tearing into that tomato with such abandon, and two, someone recognized the tomato as a fruit.
I’m not sure if the soft focus here was intentional or not, but either way it helps this photo live up to its name – it could almost be a painting of a Vargas girl.
