American Apparel Introduces the Ass Pants

Last week, one of their manufacturers unleashed a Sasha Grey-inspired blow job ad. Today, we received images from another American Apparel-Sasha Grey campaign... one that shows the porn star's other naked side...
Is it just us, or do these Sheer Luxe Cut-Out Pantyhose remind you of Howard Stern's "Fartman" from the 1992 MTV Video Music Awards?

Uhh... is there a point to ass-less pantyhose? I mean, a function? There appears to be a strips down the center of the ass, like a thong, so, again, what the heck is the point? And how much more than regular pantyhose does this cost because it's ass-less and American Apparel? I am frequently at a loss for words when it comes to "fashion" but this one takes the cream pie.
I bet they're sort-of like a push-up bra for the ass. And they probably make butt sex in a dark alley easier. But really, has anyone here tried sitting in pantyhose all day? It gets really itchy and tingly. At least for me. I have to say, practically, these are sort-of appealing to me... as much as I hate to admit it.

these have been available from sex shops forever.Clearly AA doesn't know thier demographic very well.
