American Apparel Introduces the Ass Pants

In the new, failing economy, American Apparel seems to be the only company that is keeping up its relentless advertising campaigns. Last week, one of their manufacturers unleashed a Sasha Grey-inspired blow job ad. Today, we received images from another American Apparel-Sasha Grey campaign... one that shows the porn star's other naked side...
Is it just us, or do these Sheer Luxe Cut-Out Pantyhose remind you of Howard Stern's "Fartman" from the 1992 MTV Video Music Awards?

Uhh... is there a point to ass-less pantyhose? I mean, a function? There appears to be a strips down the center of the ass, like a thong, so, again, what the heck is the point? And how much more than regular pantyhose does this cost because it's ass-less and American Apparel? I am frequently at a loss for words when it comes to "fashion" but this one takes the cream pie.
I bet they're sort-of like a push-up bra for the ass. And they probably make butt sex in a dark alley easier. But really, has anyone here tried sitting in pantyhose all day? It gets really itchy and tingly. At least for me. I have to say, practically, these are sort-of appealing to me... as much as I hate to admit it.

these have been available from sex shops forever.Clearly AA doesn't know thier demographic very well.
