Facebook Hates Sexy Pregnant Women

As a member of the New York City-based sexy-dance group The Dazzle Dancers, Cary Curran (who goes by Cherry Dazzle onstage) would be lying to her public if her Facebook pictures were tame. Certainly she couldn't get away with just a bunch of headshots, so over the years, she's posted candid pics of herself, mid-performance, some with pasties covering her naked breasts.

Facebook has tried to stop her from publishing these and she's always complied with their requests. Now, however, she's been banned from the site and for a harmless photo (seen above) with no nudity or sexual content... however, there's a difference with this snap:

The termination came after Currin uploaded a photo... of her pregnant body, dressed only in a thong, gold pasties, and glitter, as her Facebook profile picture. She wasn't even technically naked, but that didn't matter to the site's administrators, who have previously sparked controversy by yanking photos of breast-feeding mothers from profile pages. Curran notes that none of the photos actually violated the Terms of Service for her account, but certainly violate the ultra-conservative views of Facebook:

"I think people are terrified of the vagina or something." Curran says. "It's the human body! We all have one. People are so scared of bodies in this country. It's insane. I think that why we have so many health problems." [NY Press]
