True Blood Gets a Werewolf, Finally

True Blood is one of the most amazing programs on television. It's a great show, because it simply does not give a f*ck. "In this episode, the vampires can fly, okay? Even though we never really brought that up until now. Oh, and there are shape-shifters, which are different than werewolves even though shape-shifters usually just turn into dogs, and also sometimes people just will themselves into being immortal, but they aren't gods exactly, but they can create Ecstasy raves with their mind." Perfect, that is just perfect programming right there. But one thing has been missing from the Sookie Stackhouse hour, though it's been alluded to in several episodes: the present of a genuine, full-blooded, Taylor Lautner-style werewolf. Well, don't worry, True Blood fans, your dreams have come true.

This is the face of your new werewolf, True Blooders. You might recognize this fellow Joe Manganiello from How I Met Your Mother, but he'll be playing the wolfie Alcide, who comes along to help Sookie and Eric find the missing Bill Compton. Will Alcide be just another supernatural creature who falls for Paquin's half-literate, poorly-accented charms? Guess you'll have to tune in to find out. (Or read the books.
