CBS picks up third Twitter-based sitcom, "Dear Girls Above Me"

Along with Shit My Dad Says and Shh...Don't Tell Steve, CBS is developing its third Twitter-based sitcom, Dear Girls Above Me. If all goes as planned, CBS will shed its over-sixty-five image and explode into fireball of vibrant, young Twitter-based humor, the likes of which we've never experienced before (except while reading Shit My Dad Says, Shh...Don't Tell Steve, and Dear Girls Above Me).

The Twitter-scouting talent frenzy isn't much different than all the Youtube sitcoms that were half picked up for TV but fell by the wayside a few years ago. Though, directing a video for the web -- even a bad one -- takes about twenty times more effort than transcribing your neighbors conversations, who are probably perfectly decent people.

I fully enjoy DGAM (anyone who lives in an apt or condo would), but as a TV show with some kind of narrative forced onto it? No thanks.
