I woke up this morning, and was all like, “How can I make the readers of MM spend $100,000 before noon?” Well, friends, I just made it under the wire, but between the $50,000 Turntables, and this $58,000 personal helicopter, I’ve just cost you a cool 100K.
The ultralight (155lbs) personal helicopter comes from Japan, natch, and is roughly based on DaVinci’s classic helicopter design, last seen in the hit Bruce Willis movie Hudson Hawk. The copter is completely controllable, and runs on two engines worth of fuel, for back-up purposes.
According to Yahoo News: “The helicopter, named GEN H-4, has a set of two rotors turning in opposite directions and can fly at a maximum speed of 50 kilometres (31 miles) per hour.”
Sweet.
