See folks, this is what I'm talking about when I complain about crappy domestic trailers for foreign films. This spot features plenty of picturesque locations and a hint of sophisticated sexuality, but barely a word of spoken dialogue. In place of actual French, we get a voiceover guy who basically sums up the pitch for the film, in lieu of a company who actually wants to put forth an effort to make a comprehensible trailer. Frankly, I'm getting sick of it. At a time when numerous distributors actually do a solid job of selling their foreign films, there's no excuse for the old bait-and-switch ploy anymore. Also, memo to Audrey Tautou: eat something. Please. You're starting to frighten me a little.
