Question: What does Michael Bay have in common with Wes Anderson? Answer: they may be doing their most entertaining work these days not behind the camera but in front of it, sending up their images in self-parodying TV commercials. Maybe the most startling thing about this development is that, since it would boggle the mind if Bay needed the money, he's the one who must almost certainly have a sense of humor about himself. (He probably got a good laugh out of those rumors, way back when, that he was holed up in a hotel room in a state of despair over the reviews of Pearl Harbor.) Then again, maybe they're all just trying to pay homage to Martin Scorsese.
