Like All the Boys Love Mandy Lane, spotlighted in Wednesday’s Trailer Review post, this highly-buzzed about Swedish import will be screening at my local horror marathon. And based on the trailers, I’d say that I’ve got more hope for Let the Right One In. I really like the twist of making the vampire character a child, a premise I’ve always found strangely poignant. After all, what must life be like for those who never grow up even with the passing of the years? I wasn’t anticipating any actual spoken dialogue from the trailer- not that it would matter, since who goes to horror movies for the dialogue?- but I appreciated that the film’s distributor didn’t try to fool the audience into watching a foreign film. But based on the buzz that has arisen around the film, I’d say most horror buffs will be seeing this anyway, Swedish or no.
