Apparently, Red Hot Chili Peppers front man, Anthony Kiedis, is looking to branch out into other, non-musical forms of artistic expression to work out his issues with his father -- he's teaming up with HBO to create an autobiographical series, Scar Tissue, based on his childhood.
The show will center on Kiedis and his father, Spider, who sold drugs and hung with rock stars on the Sunset Strip. "He introduced me to the arts, to a more culturally magnificent life," Kiedis told Variety. "But some of it was this heavy, adult matter that I wasn't quite capable of digesting." Who ever would have guessed that such a well-adjusted gentleman had a childhood like that? -- New York Magazine
We're kind of psyched about this news, actually. They could get Colin Farrell to play his junkie father and that kid from
August Rush to play a pint-sized Anthony Kiedis -- then the two of them could go galavanting on a dark and twisted adventure through the city's seedy underbelly? We're telling you, this could be awesome.
