Barack Obama's interview on 60 Minutes drew an estimated 25.2 million viewers -- the largest for the show since a Jan. 17, 1999 ep that followed a big Jets-Broncos playoff game and had a controversial segment on domestic violence among the military.
If you were one of the three-and-a-half people who didn't see Obama on 60 Minutes, you might be interested to know that he argued for an 8-team college football playoff to determine the national champion. Which makes a ton of sense and seems right, but gee. Coming on the heels of his critique of Fred Armisen's impression of him, one gets the sense that the TV Critic/College Football Commissioner/Commander In Chief/Transformative Figure/Chosen One/Messiah is determined to do everyone's job -- which, given the state of the economy, doesn't sound like much of a jobs program for anyone but him.
Aw, we kid. But really, this is good -- stuff like this gives us a sense of how comedians might approach making fun of Barack Obama. Next we totally want to hear his thoughts on Spider-Man and Conan The Barbarian. 'Cause he reads those comics, when he isn't watching SNL or college football, or preparing to be the most powerful man in the universe.
