We wonder if Miley Cyrus's handlers know that her reputation is already in the shitter. So why would they cut the most beloved woman in country music out of the upcoming Hannah Montana movie? The Internet was buzzing over Parton playing her recurring role, Aunt Dolly, in the movie, but she reveals that she didn't make the cut.
According to Parton, producers had asked her early on if she would revisit her recurring TV role as Aunt Dolly in the film, due out April 10, starring teen sensation Miley Cyrus.
"I said I would love to! I assumed that they were gonna be writing me a part," she said in a recent interview.
But her character was not included in the script.
The producers couldn't write one line for Dolly Parton? Are they nuts? That's like The Jonas Brothers turning down a gig with Paul McCartney. Yeah, it's like that.
Parton is quoted as saying "I'm not in the movie. I wish I had been." Honey, maybe it's best not to be associated with that train wreck. (We know, we know; "train wreck-slash-mountain of money." Whatevs.)
