Wait, Jerry Seinfeld? Do actor/comedians do reality television if they’re actually famous/successful?
Denise Richards was in, what, Starship Troopers? He’s Seinfeld . . .
But apparently, his new gig goes hand in hand with the old school Seinfeld vibe. Jerry pitched the marriage based reality show as a “companion piece” to the sitcom.
The hour-long show, tentatively titled The Marriage Ref, “features celebrities, comedians and athletes who will judge couples in the midst of marital disputes while recommending various strategies to resolve their problems.”
And although Jerry is behind the camera (as creator and executive producer) he might pop on-screen for a cameo or two, to boost the show’s star power.
We’re just not sure about this. But Seinfeld says “This is not a therapy show, it’s a comedy show. After nine years of marriage, I have discovered that the comedic potential of this subject is quite rich.” Oh, we get it! Marital problems are hilarious. Bickering, Adultery, and falling out of love are funny.
Jerry, we adore you. But we’re still skeptical.
