Update: "Buffy" Star Charisma Carpenter Takes a Dive on "CSI" Tonight

Posted by Lindy Parker

Charisma Carpenter!  Girl, where have you been?  Oh yes, we see now: Lifetime movies, Greek, that sad Big Shots show with Dylan "phone it in" McDermott.  Well, at any rate, it's good to see you looking so well, jumping out of planes -- you know, the usual...

Carpenter will play a skydiver named Mink in the episode "Descent of Man," airing later this season. Sources describe Carpenter's turn as both "fun and memorable." Not unlike the actress herself. (TV Guide)

Well, tonight's the night, and it seems, among other things, we can expect to see the former Cordelia Chase dancing around in her underwear...

TVGuide.com: What can you reveal about your episode of CSI? Who are you playing, what are you doing?
Charisma Carpenter: I play a slinky little character named Mink, who is a suspect in the murder of her boyfriend because there was a love triangle between her and another sexy little thing played by The L Word's Erin Daniels.

TVGuide.com: In the promos, it looks like there's some debate over whose boyfriend the deceased was.
Carpenter: Well, he was both of ours. So there was tension, because we were both vying for his affections and such. You know how competitive that can be. I mean, the three of them were even sharing a trailer!

TVGuide.com: "Sources" tell me there is a "panty party" in this episode. Is it like a Tupperware party?
Carpenter: [Laughs] No, not at all. It involves dancing around half-dressed in our little Winnebago.

Here's a little preview of the episode...

About Lindy Parker

Lindy Parker has worked as a ghostwriter, editor, dance instructor and a purveyor of dreams, one beer at a time. She now writes for hooksexup.com's TV blog, "The Remote Island." She loves Charles Dickens and Gabriel Garcia Marquez and also, straight-to-video releases with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. It's possible she reads more teen fiction than she should. She hails from Los Angeles, her hometown and soul mate, but she lives in Brooklyn, the fling she'll never forget.

Olivia Purnell left Ohio for sunny Los Angeles; then found that she couldn’t ignore New York City’s call, and brought herself to Brooklyn where she has worked with GenArt, BlackBook, the School of American Ballet, and finished an M.A. in Creative Writing from N.Y.U. She loves one-liners with sting and hates the stench of the subway in the summer. That said, she can’t get enough of either.
