Is it weird that we're giving more coverage to the Republicans this week than we did the Democrats last week? Well, what do you want? Sure there was drama last week with the Hillary and Obama camps and all that, but come on, we all knew nothing as juicy as this -- conservative commentators Peggy Noonan and Mike Murphy ragging on their own VP candidate -- was ever gonna make its way out of Denver. But here it is, in all its beautiful non-off-mike glory. We know; the Obama speech was epic and inspiring. But this is, like, a minute-and-a-half and says just as much about how the campaigns are going, right?
Between this and Mitt Romney going so far right last night that it's clear he expects to sweep the whole party that direction four years from now from the top of the ticket -- implying at last partially a McCain loss this November -- we're tempted to say this thing's basically all wrapped up. But of course, everyone's gaga for Palin this morning, and besides calling this type of thing now is only asking for trouble. Plus, why would we want this thing all wrapped up while we're getting clips like this out of it?
