Not too long ago, Freddy Prinze Jr. was an up-and-coming movie star. He was named one of People magazine's "most beautiful people," married Sarah Michelle Gellar, and had a TV show with own his name on it. But that was then. Now he's taken on a new job: Writing and producing wrestling shows for World Wrestling Entertainment.
Surprise -- it turns out pro wrestling is fixed! No, wait, that's not what's surprising here. In fact, this could be the biggest leap down the entertainment-industry career ladder since Britney got married. It's as if Bruce Willis became a weather forecaster on the Poughkeepsie morning news, or Julia Roberts got a job as assistant manager at Planet Hollywood. That is to say, it's just sad.
Now, we know that Prinze is a longtime wrestling fan, so maybe he's doing the whole thing as a lark. And it's not unheard of for an actor to find a second career working behind the scenes. So maybe this will work out for the best. Yeah, that's it.
Nope, still sad.
