I love the way Dolly dresses and sings. I think she is beautiful inside and out! I would love to spend some time with her. I think it would help my depression, which is getting worse. I need her to pray for me. My life is going down the tubes fast! I would love to talk to her.I love her laugh!I use to dress sexy too. Now to depressed, don't want to even bathe. I use to have big boobs,but lost them loosing weight. Want to get job for implants,but can't work due to panic attacks. Absolutely great article..I have always admired Dolly Parton's "take no prisoners" attitude. I believe she is feminism personified. It takes guts to stand up to a society that admires a male "stud" and vilifies a female "slut". She reconciles her religious faith with a very secular life with no apparent irony. I say way to go and what a great positive role model for anyone. Love the the hair, nails, sex and rock and role!

Perhaps I have a different set of morals, but Dolly is not now nor ever has been a 'slut'. For me, a slut will indiscriminantly sleep around with anyone, has no sense of class and usually low self-esteem. Dolly does not seem to do anything without discretion, has a sense of style and wears it to its best advantage and has seems to have a very healthy view of herself. I would hope more women would be as completely honest about what they want instead of worrying about what someone says about their behavior. I admire Dolly not only because at 60 she still looks great, but because she takes pride in keeping herself, mind, body and soul in the best shape she can, even if she has to pay for it. The one thing money cannot buy that is most special about her is her attitude. Attitude goes a long way in making one a very special and sensual person. Too many physically 'pretty women' are unattractive because of their attitude. Dolly is beautiful because of what she projects from the inside out... and uhhh, yeah, she has those wonderful twins...

wow what an artist! dolly is the greatest thing that country music produced johnny cash notwithstanding, but what is with ada calhoun showing off a medal at the bottom of the article as if to say hey don't forget me i am someone too,otherwise a great article.oh and hope she doesn't waste her time doing any talk shows when she could be in the studio writing another hit.

Hurray! I own 9 to 5 on DVD and watch it all the time. I love when Dolly says (regarding what they should do with Dabney Coleman) (I hope i get this right) "I think we should hire some ranglers to go upstairs and beat the shit out of him" Everytime she is on a talk show i get so excited. I have never read her bio (even though many gay friends refer to it) but i think that i will buy it for myself for Christmas. Oh, and i love Dolly's rounder look from the 70's. The stacked hair and the pants suits. Amazing. Great tribute to Dolly!
