the situation described is neither bizarre nor a love triangle, but the story does make a strong case that monogamy is pretty much inherently dishonest and unfulfilling. an approach to life that requires me to pretend to feel emotions i don't feel, pretend not to feel emotions i do feel, pretend that true events didn't happen and pretend that one shag per week is sufficient? no thanks.
