Study: Beautiful women dating average-looking men most likely to break up

To all the guys eyeing the bombshell across the room, be warned: unless you're equally attractive, any relationship you start with a her will end in certain failure. Groups of researchers from three English universities polled one hundred couples and found pairs with a stunning woman and a so-so guy were short lived.
The analysis revealed having an attractive husband or boyfriend was no barrier to a relationship succeeding. But, if it was the woman who was the one blessed with good looks, the relationships tended to last only a matter of months... [The findings] would indicate it is the woman who is in control of whether the relationship continues. Beautiful women may realize they can afford to pick and choose... They may also have the confidence to leave behind relationships that have run their course.
The original article suggests that if the above explanation is unsatisfying, you should look to pop culture. Angelina Jolie dated Billy Bob Thornton for a just a few years, they suggest, while she's been with the better-looking Brad Pitt for ages. Which is anecdotal, sure. But also might make sense.
In either case, the real moral of the story: don't think of that gorgeous girl at the party as "the one who got away." Think of her as one fewer emotional scar.

So then, some anemic, finger-down-her-throat, skinny, ugly woman gets to keep Bradley? Jesus, give me a break. Have you ever closely watched any of her movies? She isn't shown in any shots with unclothed or undraped extraneous body parts showing. She's so skinny she's unhealthy.

It's too easy to use any given anecdote to connect to this study. This does not explain why Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt did not work out, apart from: Jennifer was too beautiful for Brad?
Don't over simplify. Furthermore, you can't just go out there and compare 100 british couples to one hot shot Hollywood couple. This is senseless.
I'd like a link to the study to see what kind of variables they got out. Furthermore, 100 couples doesn't make much of a subject pool. They should have interrogated more, and some from around the world.
Are we sure they didn't get this backward? There are far more attractive women who date unattractive men than there are attractive men who date unattractive women.
So the moral of the story is: have lots of flings with gorgeous women?

I realize Hooksexup isn't the Times, but for god's sake if you quote a study or article, the least you can do is link to it or give more of a reference than 'groups of researchers from 3 English universities'. This entire blurb is useless, perhaps made up.
And if this is a real research study, I would agree that their data set is extremely limited and not conclusive of much of anything. And who is funding shit like this? Lame.
