When Victoria Jackson called last week's gay kiss on Glee "sickening" everyone freaked out, because, well, that's a pretty rude thing to say. So you would think Jackson, given the opportunity, might want to apologize, or just rephrase her statement in order to be better understood. CNN's Headline News entertainment segment Showbiz Tonight last night gave her said opportunity. But man, did she blow it.

When asked if she was a homophobe, Jackson skirted the question by referencing the Bible (which, by the way, she just happened to have on her person and decided to hold up for all to see for the duration of the interview) and casually responding:

"That's a cute little buzzword of the liberal agenda. Basically, the Bible says that homosexuality is a sin."

She went on to add that she was concerned about the lack of suitable material on TV for her impressionable, fourteen-year-old daughter to enjoy. Rather than pollute the airwaves with immoral "secular humanism" that steals childhood innocence, Jackson has come up with more wholesome plot-lines for Glee:

"They should have a celibacy campaign and tell kids that fifty percent of teenagers now have this new STD from oral sex, that's what they should try to be doing instead of making kids gay."

Not to totally gleek out on you guys, but a fairly recent episode Glee actually featured both an (okay, misguided) sex-ed lesson from Gwyneth Paltrow, which resulted in the majority of the show's main characters joining the celibacy club. Boom.

Here's the rest of the interview, in full:

The puzzlingest part is that Victoria Jackson tops the most-likely-to-be-lesbian SNL cast leaderboards
