I've been in serious need lately of style re-vamping. I'm also pretty broke. So, this book, The Cheap Date Guide to Style, came at just the right time. I just started flipping through it yesterday and so far, I've learned the following style tips:
- A polka-dot scarf is a basic accessory
- A Veronica Lake hairdo turns heads, no matter what you've got on
- Shoes with opaque tights in the same color elongates legs
- Mullets are bad, which I already knew
- Wear a large men's t-shirt, softened by lots of washes, with a brooch for an easy stylish look
- Even a fake Chanel bag is better than no Chanel bag at all
- I have a long way to go
