If you’re familiar with the films of Kate Winslet, you know she’s never been shy about taking her clothes off. She does it again for the latest issue of Vanity Fair, albeit in that coy you-can’t-really-see-nothin’ way that so infuriates us fans of seeing Kate Winslet naked. The Daily Telegraph has expressed some skepticism over this latest round of photographs. Noting that Winslet once objected to the digital slimming of her body (“‘I don't look like that and I don't desire to look like that,’ she said at the time. ‘It wasn't that they simply retouched my image - they completely stretched it so I looked like I was six feet tall and a size two.’”), the Telegraph suggests that the same process has been applied to the Vanity Fair pictures.
Winslet isn’t having it, or at least, her representation isn’t having it. “Kate is furious at suggestions that her body has been airbrushed,” her rep tells People magazine. “She is in terrific shape and what you see is how she looks or she would never have agreed to pose for those shots.”
Perhaps you think this post is merely an excuse to run this photo of Kate’s bum. Well, you’ve got us. Come on, it’s a slow movie news day.
