I’ve been watching a lot of 3D movies of late for another project – if you’re interested in seeing the flying eyeball trick from Friday the 13th Part 3D reprised in digital clarity, don’t miss My Bloody Valentine 3D – but I must admit, I haven’t seen any 3D porn. In fact, I can hardly believe there hasn’t been any 3D porn, as this report claims. “Hong Kong film makers are preparing to leave filmgoers goggle-eyed by releasing the world's first pornographic movie in 3D, a news report said on Sunday.”
“Shooting on the Chinese-language film 3D Sex And Zen, budgeted at 4 million US dollars, is scheduled for April with producers promising some of the most realistic close-up sex scenes ever. ‘Just imagine that you'll be watching it as if you were sitting beside the bed,’ Stephen Shiu Jnr told the Sunday Morning Post.”
I guess the possibilities are endless here, but I’m thinking about the numerous blood-spattering shots in My Bloody Valentine and…well, there are just some visuals I don’t need to experience in “comin’ at ya” technology, if you see what I mean. Shiu tells the Post, “We're having trouble finding a male lead who is willing to undress in front of the camera…It's a lot more difficult to find an actor than an actress for this kind of film.”
