Thank you, Showtime. And this comes from someone who watched every single episode of all six seasons of The L Word...
Showtime will not be picking up The Farm, the women's prison spinoff of The L Word starring Leisha Hailey. Whew. As we pointed out time after time after time, the operative "L word" the past few seasons was "ludicrous", and a women's prison spinoff promised to be way too over-the-top, even for Showtime.
This was surprising, but reassuring news. Much weirder news was that Matthew Perry's Showtime pilot The End Of Steve didn't get picked up either - although now that one will be pitched to other networks. We're not too crazy about the direction Showtime's gone recently, so we wonder if this is a case of The End Of Steve not fitting in, or not being good...
