"Glee" creator Ryan Murphy ends feud with Kings of Leon

As you may remember, Glee creator Ryan Murphy and bro-rockers Kings of Leon haven't exactly been on the best of terms. After the band turned down a request for one of their songs to be used in the show, a war of words (and tweets) between the two occured. Murphy angrily ranted and then drummer Nathan Followill told him to "buy a new bra." Accusations of homophobia (rightfully) followed suit. Basically, both Murphy and the Followill brothers engaged in behavior that made them seem even more annoying than we previously thought (no easy feat).

But now, in an ending of happy, sing-along proportions the two are making amends. Followill has since apologized for his "misconstrued comments" and even Murphy admitted his response was out of line, saying:

"I didn't speak with as much clarity as I would have liked .... Who am I to say 'Fuck you?' That's not what I meant. I completely understand when artists don't want a show or another artist to interpret their songs. In fact, I respect it. It's their personal work and I'd feel the same way. We get turned down all the time and I've don't fight it or even go back after a rejection. "I've never felt that if you don't give Glee your music, there's something diabolical about you ... To the contrary: I support artists and what they choose to do... I think Kings of Leon are cool as shit."

Well, I don't know about that last part. But it's still nice to see the both parties involved are owning up (at least to some extent) to their past douchey-ness. And hey, at least neither are as douchey as Victoria Jackson.
