The first few photos in this set by Marlene Marino are just as cluttered with minutiae as her subjects are stripped down — the mattress is bare, every available surface is covered in knickknacks and empty bottles, the floor is piled high. It's an intimacy casual enough to make you forget the lovely naked girls as they meander through the space. It's the set's later shots that feel like a revelation: out of the bedroom, examined up close, these bodies become expressive and expansive in their own right. — Caitlin MacRae
