Word from our nation's capital is that a phone number belonging to longtime ABC News guy Sam Donaldson was found in the black book of Deborah Jeane Palfrey, a.k.a. "the D.C. Madam," whose case has already resulted in the disgrace of a Louisiana Senator and the resignation of an official at the State Department.
Now, we're not detectives or anything, but from the little we've learned about journalism watching Smallville, it seems to us that Ms. Palfrey could just as easily have been a source for Sammy Boy as anything else, so we're gonna wait and see what happens before making too many cracks at the expense of Mr. Donaldson, whose dogged and eccentric brand of reporting is still a thing of wonder. (After all, we've got lots of people in our address book, and we've only gotten hookers for, like, five of them)
Also, judging from this video, Sam Donaldson may, in fact, be a mandroid, and therefore unfamiliar with human customs like "doing it." Anyhow, we'll keep you posted.
UPDATE: Turns out that there's actually something of interest here -- but it's got nothing to do with Sam Donaldson burying his lede. We'll let John Cook at Radar Magazine take up the utterly sexless (save for a brief Larry Flynt cameo) story from here.
